Casein Reimagined.
If you’re looking to build or sustain lean muscle, you’re most likely already taking a protein supplement. However, there is a plethora of protein powders out there, which might make it confusing. And, different kinds do different things.
For example, whey proteins are great for replenishing protein rapidly to support protein synthesis in the body after a workout. Other protein powders provide a combination of fast-absorbing and slow-absorbing proteins.
Casein, on the other hand, is a very unique protein (and a must-have in your supplement arsenal, in our opinion). It has a slow absorption rate, which means it breaks down slowly in the digestive system (some even call it a “sustained-release” protein). Casein is considered a complete source of protein, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids needed for muscle growth and repair.
